Reflection 6 from Coral

This is a part of a fabulous reflection given to the elders from Coral.

Coral has a beautiful perspective of how, in these times, we can push in to and reflect more on what God has in store for us, for our church and for the Valley and beyond.

I am praying that the following does not come across as disjointed ( as it has been modified in order for it to be included on the website). Thanks Coral, we will keep praying for you, as you are for us.

Jenny...

I want to share what I believe the Lord has been speaking to me about as I have been resting in Him during this time of isolation.  He began speaking when the isolation began but what was interesting is that as usual, my daily readings were lining up with what He was saying.  I had finished Jude and was ready to progress to Revelations which I thought would be great at this time.  However, the Lord asked me to go back to Isaiah which I had read not long ago, so I did.

The Holy Spirit has been teaching me a lot (via my reading of Isaiah) but also through the notes which refer to other verses.  For me that is very exciting. So although I haven’t been at River Valley long and few of you know me, the Lord has persisted to call me to write this.

I don’t believe for a moment that the Lord caused Covid-19 but what I do believe is Romans 8:28 (The Passion Version) which you will know well and says,

“So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are His lovers who have been called to fulfil His designed purpose.”

God has dominion over ALL THINGS, as we all believe.  However, He will not go against His promise of free will to all people, so we suffer consequences for our own sins and that of other people as well.  I believe Covid-19 is one of these consequences, and I couldn’t even conceive where this originated.  What I do believe wholeheartedly is that God is good and brings good out of all situations for those who love Him because this is one of His promises.

As I have been resting in Him, and also writing my book which He called me to write many years ago, the main theme He has bought to my attention is that the Lord is giving us an opportunity.  This opportunity is to take the time to seek Him even more deeply in order to gain a greater intimacy with Him that brings about the revelation He speaks of often through His Word; He is the only One that we cannot be told to isolate from.

My first thought is one that I have been thinking for a long time: “What do you want from me Lord as You transform me to mirror or reflect You even more?”

I believe when we read scripture and we invite the Holy Spirit into our readings, prayers, worship etc., then revelation will follow.  Firstly, the Holy Spirit brings such light to every experience with the Lord as we rest with Him.  Secondly, He gives me His wisdom about any skewed attitudes I may have to deal with (His perfect discipline which is only ever motivated by His love for me), especially the sins I haven’t even recognised beforehand that require transformation.  Thirdly, there is His wise and discerning power to avoid incorrect interpretation as referred to in the above verse but also with discernment of the motives of others that we are warned of in His Word.  And then the last and my favourite, when the Spirit will quicken my spirit with excitement where I can feel it physically, this then rises in me, so I realize there is something more for me to learn from Him.  Another reason that this is so exciting is that the sensation gives a tangible experience of the Lord.  These are just some examples that bring Spiritual growth as our spirit aligns with the Holy Spirit.

When I consider this time in our nation and the world as a whole, I believe there is a shaking happening in the heavenlies and that the Lord is orchestrating an opportunity for us to prepare and to experience the hidden mysteries the Lord speaks about in His amazing Word.....

(Coral continues her reflection, then ends with the following statements:)

I am committed to putting as much time as possible in this time of isolation, to relate even more with the Godhead because I believe He is calling us to that destiny; I am sure you are all doing the same.

I have an inkling that when God breaks down each stronghold in the Valley and the world at large, there will be a lot of  broken people who will be open hearted with a yearning for revelation of the most pure love of all: Our Heavenly Father’s; and He will call his people to plant seeds as we are, harvest as we do and He will also disciple them.  However, it will be on a grander scale.  He wants us ready for this even as all people in the world will be transported from the hold of Covid-19 and trying to navigate a new normal in each of our lives.

I just want to leave you with one more verse that I believe is applicable to this promise.  Jeremiah 33:3 (Amplified Bible) which says,

“Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand).”

Blessings and favour to all my new and wonderful Church Family,

Coral.
