1. How are you coping this second lockdown
To be honest I think I enjoy lockdown a little bit too much!
I love being at home with my kids and we have recently had my mum build a granny flat out the back so its great to have her here with us as well.
2. What are your views on wearing a mask
Wearing a mask is uncomfortable and it makes it very difficult to drink coffee 😊
But seriously, if it helps to keep one person safe and healthy its worth the discomfort. I also believe that if wearing a mask simply serves as a show of support to those on our frontline then I would wear one just for that reason.
3. Have you been to the testing station at LinC in Yarra Junction (or anywhere else for that matter)
No, I haven’t.
4. How have you been amusing yourself?
As a single dad with three kids and a puppy its not hard to stay busy. A lot of my time is spent helping with remote learning, working on old 40 series Land cruisers with my two boys and trying to give my beautiful daughter all of the love and attention she needs as well.
5. What have you missed?
I have missed the physical, face to face interaction with close friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.
6. What is a positive for you right now?
This one is easy! The big positive in my life right now is being humbled by the opportunity to serve at River Valley Church. The Holy Spirit has been speaking to me very clearly about the shape of the Church and the times that we live in. I was incredibly encouraged to discover that The Holy Spirit has also been leading the elders of RVC in the same way.
7. What does the future look like for you?
I don’t know exactly what the future holds for me, however I do know that it will involve being obedient to the Scriptures and learning to find peace in all situations knowing that I face them with the presence of Christ within me.
8. Are you watching more TV this time is so, what is your "go to" program?
I’m not a huge television watcher, but I have to admit that when I do tune in, I am a sucker for reality TV. I love observing people and their reactions and responses to differing situations. People are complex, unique and incredible interesting.
9. Do you have any words of encouragement for your RVC family?
Keeping this very short, I would just like to urge everyone to remain close to Jesus. What we are experiencing right now in our community is simply a foreshadowing of what is to come. This is not the end but simply a taster and a great warning to us all. Get good with Christ and remain there! His grace is big enough for everyone of us right. However, a time will come
when it will be too late to accept His gift of grace and salvation.
10. What prayer do you find yourself praying these days ?
It’s pretty simple but it’s mine at the moment: Thank you, Jesus! Just over and over again….. Thank you, Jesus!
Thank you Adam
