Well we are finally interviewing someone that I haven't known for 20 years. Phil & I probably crossed paths when our respective daughters became friends. (Kaylee used to attend RVC and even sang on the team for a while). I have enjoyed getting to know him; he has a unique sense of humour that I enjoy and he loves to serve God & the church which I admire.

Ladies & Gents, Boys and Girls, dogs & cats.... Here's Phil

What’s this time of isolation been like for you?

Actually not that bad it has given me more time to reflect on my spiritual life, too Listen for God’s voice and Spend more time reading my bible and other Christian books.

What have you been doing to amuse yourself/keep the days apart?

I have been able to still do my gardening jobs for other people and our own garden’s, lots of walks around our neighbourhood and along the Warburton trail, sometimes on our bikes. Visiting local bakery’s for a nice coffee and cake after a job, always a pleasure. Doing the ALDI food pickup is always a meaningful task and I get to meet some of the people who work at Aldi, they are very nice people.

Tv   is also a big pass time.

What are the top three things that you have missed?

Yep that’s easy, fellowship/meeting with people at church, family get togethers going out for meals and the movies.

What is something that has been a positive for you in this time?

I have noticed that people really want to socialise which shows that we were meant to have contact, relationships, a meaningful and a loving life with each other, a bit like herding animals that like to be with each other. Hopefully this will stay with us when it’s all over.

How many rolls of toilet paper have you got in the house?

I have made a cubby house in the back room and have just finished using the chimney, just kidding but I did think there for a while that I might have to start on the gum leafs and hose.

What are the top three things you are looking forward to doing when this is all over?

Church time, family time and going out for meals and movies.

Have you indulged in any games during this time?

Do mind games count? If not then definitely not; to me they are a bit like reality tv shows or soaps, they make a good sleeping pill, but out of them all I  would play games mostly with my remote control car.

How many times a day do you wash your hands?

Not sure  I tend to lose count around lunch time but I am beginning to know what it feels like to be a lizard 🦎

What prayer do you find yourself praying during this time?

Mostly for safety for everyone, a vaccine, health care workers, essential services, the leaders of our country our mental health and the world’s economies. Also I think  for christians to know that our almighty God is with us and will never leave us and when things are bad look  up know that our salvation is near, praise God.

Cheers to everyone and keep praying

Your bro in the lord Phil
